Tic's Parking

Tic’s Parking, a 2.5-acre parking lot owned by the US Forest Service, is located along Wyoming Highway 230 just north of the Wold Tract entrance. This parking area allows year-round access to the Medicine Bow and Routt National Forests for Wold owners as well as a wide variety of recreation enthusiasts. It is used heavily in the winter months when the snow depth prevents people from accessing roads and trails by vehicle and when snowmobiling is at its peak. During the fall of 2019, the Wold Board of Directors negotiated with Wyoming State Trails to have Tic’s Parking plowed during the winter months. Additionally, they negotiated a 30-year Special Use Plowing Permit with the US Forest Service. As a result, Wyoming State Trails, together with a nominal donation from the Wold Community, contracted with Mike Davis of Mountain Home to plow Tic's during the winter months. In general, Tic’s Parking is plowed from the beginning of December through the end of March. Due to the partnership between Wold Improvement & Service District and Wyoming State Trails, parking permits are not needed to park in this lot year round.
